POLAR Youth is for secondary students (grades 7-12). They utilize various book studies, service opportunities, and current events to connect the youth’s faith walk to their world. They meet in their own space (usually) downstairs every Sunday except the first one of the month.

SAFETY Zone (Southwood All Friends Exploring Together, YES!) is a new intergenerational learning adventure which takes place on the first Sunday each month from 9-10 am. During this time, we will explore various biblical stories or themes using active learning and discussion. Everyone has a seat at the table and all voices will be heard. This is a SAFE place to explore and be. All are encouraged to participate to their level of comfort. Watching and cheering on others is considered participating. Bring your family or join someone else’s.

Kids on a Mission is for anyone that considers him/herself a kid. These are service based projects in which everyone is invited to participate. Projects in the past have included sorting donations at REAP, raking leaves for a community member that was unable to do it herself, picking apples for a food bank that would have gone to waste, and helping to clean at Southwood.

Note

All volunteers are screened and have a clean background check completed through the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
