Southwood UCC is in a beautiful Raytown neighborhood, close to Kenagy Park and Southwood Elementary school. Our address is 7904 Raytown Road, which is at the intersection of Raytown Road and 79th Street.
What to expect with us
Sunday Service begins at 10:00 am for the summer.
If you can’t make it to the church for Sunday Service, you are invited to drop in online at our YouTube channel.
You will find a relaxed, friendly worship format that includes music, scripture, prayer and preaching. We celebrate communion on the first Sunday of the month and on special holidays. We believe that the table of Christ is for everyone. When you join us online on communion Sundays, you are invited to have your own communion elements —bread and wine/juice—at hand to celebrate with us.
You will find that you will be warmly welcomed online and in person! Some people wear dresses or suits and others wear jeans or shorts, and we are all comfortable together.
