Children’s Ministries
Here at Southwood UCC, we believe that children are the foundation of a healthy church community.
We believe that children deserve to experience the living God in a community of people that love, respect, nurture, and value them as unique individuals.
We also value safety and make sure that each of our Christian education leaders and nursery attendants complete and pass an official background check and follow our Safe Church policy.
Sunday School for littles and youth:

Children 0-12 A Joyful Path |
Sunday 9am to 10:15am September-May |
Each class starts with a craft and is followed by a few moments of meditation. We explore progressive lessons that are nature centered, joy-filled, and rooted in compassion and love. |

Children 13-18 Youth |
Sunday 9am to 10:15am September-May |
Teens are encouraged to bring their curiosity and to ask questions! We focus on leadership, spiritual formation, and youth advocacy and service. |

Everyone 0-100+ Intergenerational Sunday |
Every second Sunday of the month from 9am to 10 September-May |
Everyone, regardless of age, is encouraged to join us! We spend time with one another to promote unity, share wisdom, and fellowship together to build mutual and influential relationships within our Southwood community. |
Nursery
Our nursery welcomes children 0-5 all year long during worship. Our nursery attendant is assisted by a teen volunteer. During nursery hour, littles will learn through free play, themed arts and crafts, and interacting with nature.
